Pro Insight (“PI”) is one of the industry leaders within the amateur basketball ecosystem. Founded in 2018 by NBA front office veteran Matt McKay, PI has quickly grown into a multifaceted mechanism touching every corner of the basketball world, with a focused involvement in media coverage, event operations, consulting services, apparel merchandising, and athlete empowerment. We are seeking exceptional individuals to help us achieve our mission: providing unique, pertinent, valuable information to basketball stakeholders around the world and ensuring that our holistic, comprehensive approach to evaluation continues to differentiate ourselves in the space. Well-recognized for our unparalleled coverage of up-and-coming athletes, PI has a decorated alumni list, between our former campers and in-depth Q&A participants. The PI team has run events in both 2020 and 2021, further establishing a standard of excellence as we grow within the space. WIth plans to run double-digit events in 2022, PI will look to continue to set the standard. PI has emphatically raised the bar via our in-depth Q&As — which is quickly approaching interview #200 — through this series, we aim to illuminate what makes some of today's elite up-and-coming basketball players unique, by providing a platform for them to share their stories.

JOB DESCRIPTION
PI is looking to hire members to our creative team to join our staff and existing collective community of 20+ individuals. This role is responsible for creating day-to-day and project-based content for the PI social media channels and website, with a focus on helping boost and further cement our brand, building off our current strong foundation as well as updating/face-lifting PI’s current graphic templates. Additional requirements include executing branded campaigns on social media and content management on PI social channels.
Reporting directly to the chief creative engineer, the individual in this role will work in collaboration with the graphic design team, video team, and brand marketing team in addition to the CEO and executive leadership team. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of and passion for graphic design as well as all major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, GIPHY, etc.), as well as excellent teamwork and communication skills. Candidates should also have strong spelling and grammar knowledge with supreme attention to detail. Knowledge of and experience working in an athletic team setting is preferred. Understanding of the unique culture and needs of athletes and VIP clients is preferred.

This is an internship/non-paid position and some various non-traditional (9-5) work hours should be expected.

Support the development of the company’s social media strategy and creative content campaigns.

Produce creative content for PI social media channels.

Promote our target athletes, helping share their stories.

Brainstorm sessions with other creatives on the team.

Help create sustainable processes.

Create documentation.

Collaborate with units across the company’s departments.

Execute sponsored campaigns on PI social media channels.

PI Database headshot optimization and maintenance.

Graphic/template creation and maintenance.

Create assets for video or graphics as needed.

Monitor social media trends and audience engagement.

Track and analyze social media metrics.

Create content that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Promote an environment that fosters inclusive relationships and creates unbiased opportunities for contributions through ideas, words, and actions.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. PI reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess (or in pursuit of) a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, digital marketing or a related field and a minimum of 1-2 years experience. Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (, Photoshop, etc.), Dropbox, Google Drive. Experience with Data Visualization is a plus. Experience working in higher education and/or a sports related field is ideal.
