As part of the Pro Insight Q&A series, Coen Carr (Legacy Early College/SC) caught up with Pro Insight at Hoophall West in Scottsdale, Arizona. Throughout the event, Carr stood out amongst his peers by playing with constant energy, showcasing his high level motor, flaunting his functional athleticism, and embodying a modern, positionless style of play.

For the next installment of the Pro Insight Q&A series, we present 2023 prospect Coen Carr, from Stockbridge, Georgia:

Pro Insight: What has your basketball journey been like?

Coen Carr: I have been playing basketball ever since I could remember. I hadn’t really been recruited until this past summer, so I have just been under the radar working my hardest, training hard, and doing whatever I can to get to this point that I am at right now. I feel like I have done a good job of that.

PI: What is the latest with your recruitment?

CC: I have been hearing from Cincinnati, Arizona State, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Indiana, Tennessee State, and Clemson. Most of them have offered me, so it has been a pretty good process and I am excited to see how it ends.

PI: Who has been reaching out the most? Have there been any standouts during the recruitment process?

CC: Arizona State, Indiana, Georgia, Vanderbilt, and Cincinnati are standouts, as they have definitely been in contact the most.

PI: What are some things you are looking for in a college basketball program?

CC: I want a team that plays fast, and a school that makes me better on and off the court. I want a school that makes me a better man off the court, and has high quality academics.

PI: Describe yourself as a player. What are some strengths of your game?

CC: I feel like I am a positionless player that plays one-through-four, because I can guard players bigger than me and players faster than me. I am an all-around player that can play wherever coach wants me at. I bring leadership, energy, and I feel like I can be a walking highlight reel. I can change the game at any moment, so I am a game-changer.

PI: What are some improvement areas you are working on?

CC: Shooting and ball handling mostly, and then just getting my body stronger. Those would be the areas I want to improve on the most.

PI: What are some goals of yours as a player?

CC: I want to go to a great college and try to make the NBA. That’s what I have been focusing on the most recently, and I feel I am getting closer to that point and figuring out my future.

PI: What are some hobbies of yours? What do you like to do off the court?

CC: I really like to watch movies. I watch a lot of movies. Other than that, I just like to chill out and hang with my friends.

PI: What are some ways you stay motivated?

CC: I think my parents really motivate me. I don’t want them to have to wake up and worry about going to work.

PI: You have one hashtag to describe yourself. What is it and why?

CC: #Exciting. I feel like I am the most exciting player every time I step on the court.
